Job posting gone

Okay so I've been really interested in this one hospital and applied to many positions. Everyday I check to see if those positions I applied to are still showing up on the career page. After 2 days I noticed three jobs I applied to were no longer posted but when I log into my account I see that my applications for those jobs are still there. what does this mean? I have not received any rejection emails and was planning to follow up on those applications on Monday since it would be a week from when I applied.

oh and also..whenever my application status changes it gets highlighted in yellow. any idea what that means?

    After enough applications are received, they may just pull the posting and weed through the many apps already received.
