Job Interview Wed.

Hi all!!

I'm a student nurse and graduate April 08. I have applied at OB floor at the hospital where I live for a nurse tech position. I have an interview Wed. Can any one give me any advice as what to expect. I'm so nervous. I really like OB and that is where I want to work when I graduate. Any helpful hints will be greatly appreciated!

Just try not to be nervous on the interview date although I know that is hard. Try to emphasize to the prospective employer that you want an environment to foster your learning needs as you progress through school. If you have a high GPA, throw that in as well. If you have already taken OB, tell them about how you loved it and want to get your feet wet! Emphasize all clinical experiences ( because you do have it!)..like vitals, ambulation needs, therapeutic communication, glucose checks, toileting, nutritional needs, etc. Also, tell them that you are a team player who does not mind jumping in and helping out.

Good luck, I am sure that you will do fine.
