IV Certification

Hello. I have been an LPN for a year now but my first job was in a pediatric clinic. I am now wanting to learn and expand and would like to work in the hospital. Are you expected as an LPN to be IV certified when you apply for hospital jobs? I really want to be certified and have actually looked for schools to get certified but can not find on. I live in Las vegas, NV so if anyone knows where I can get certified here let me know please.

I have never known an LVN who was not IV certified. Our local nursing schools offer cert classes for LVN grads, so you might want to start with your local schools. If they don't offer any, I'm sure they can tell you where you can go.

I have been nursing in N.Y., Flordia and Texas and none required IV certification. I can only find CSN in Las Vegas. Are there any online avenues to get this certification?
