[color=#2f2f4f]after high school, there were so many things happen to me; i then enrolled in a community college but i did not do well at all. i got 12 f in 4 different colleges with about 2.5 gpa. when i realized that with that record, i would not be able to success or accomplish my goal, so i decided to go to a private school for an lvn program. after 13 months of continuously nursing education, finally i graduated with a lvn license. that was the most wonderful moment of my life. during my clinical time at the hospitals, i learned so many lessons about life, love, and education. i realized that i need to go back to college and complete my rn/bsn goal and become a nurse.
today, i went to a community college with all of my 4 transcripts. i understood that there was no college or cal states would accept me. therefore i asked the counselor about repeating those classes or in other word " can i start everything again from the beginning?" i truly wished she would say "yes" for me, so i could have a chance to fix my mistake and be successful. however, the answer was "no, no one can start again. you will need to tell any school that you will attend about your transcript. beside, you have some good grades too. what in the past is in the past already, the important is how you are going to do now. you need to continue on some class that you miss, and do well on it" and she also told me "nursing at this school is very competitive, and you have many other choices beside that..." i then understood what she mean was "nursing is not possible for you!" because she did not answer my question " if i going back to college and study hard on the rest of the class (about 30 more units) am i able to transfer?"...she...just kept silent.
i really feel bad about my grades before and i want to make it up, i want to start my education again. however, how can i continue to study while there would be no chance to transfer? is it because i did not do well at the beginning so i am forever banned from universities and cal states? if anyone in here, in california, or anyone work in u.s education and have a knowledge about this, would you please give me an advice? i don't want to give up my life, i really want to go back and fix my mistake. would you please help me...
is it possible for me to go back to college and improve my grades so i can transfer and have a chance to be accepted even when i have 12 f before?
if there is a class that i have repeated it 3 times at 2 different school but i ended up with bad grade again, am i able to retake it a gain at this new college?
please help me so i can go back to college and continue my education. i will not let it down again. please help!!!
thank you so much for your concerning...
best wishes for you all...

I can offer very general advice. First of all, nothing is impossible. Difficult and time consuming but not impossible. Where I went to school for my AS they allow a student to repeat 3 classes to have the new grade replace the original. After 3 classes the new grade is averaged into the old grade. How many hours do you have total? I have noticed that some applications I have filled out only count your GPA for the last 60 hours completed. In my case, this was a major blessing, because like you . . . when I went for my associate's I didn't make the best grades. I had a 2.57 when it was all said and done. Years later I went back for my BS. This time around I brought my GPA up to a 3.44. The blessing part is . . . if you only count the last 60 hours then my GPA is 3.44! That GPA was high enough to get me into a bridge program from LPN to RN.
Sometimes schools won't take science classes after 5-10 years, so depending on how long it has been since you took your science classes maybe that is another way for you to retake them and get a good grade?
Good luck!
