Is this a smart decision?

I need your advice! I currently am living in IL with my parents after graduating from nursing school in OH. I decided to apply for licensure in OH, since I really liked living there. I found out a couple days ago that I passed NCLEX, so I am currently licensed in OH. I have been looking for jobs in OH for nearly 3 months to no avail. It has always appealed to me to live on the east coast. I'm thinking about applying for licensure in NC now, specifically Charlotte or Raleigh area since it seems like there are a lot of jobs and nurse residency programs. Not to mention, NC in general seems like a real nice place to live. The only problem is I do not currently have the $150 for the application nor the $38 for the background check. I don't think this would be too great of a problem seeing as I could always borrow from my parents. But honestly is it really worth it to go through with this decision? Would I have a difficult time of finding a job in NC? Thanks for your help!

I think borrowing the $150 and getting the NC license is a good idea, if you think you'll ever want to work there. $150 is almost pocket change, so it's small price to pay to be able to look for a job in another state. If you'd said $1500 then I'd say no, but $150 is worth it.
