Is it possible?

I hope to retive from the clinical arena in 5 years. I'll have a small pension but no benifits. I would like to go into teaching-especialy with 25yrs of critical care under my belt but I only have a BSN and that was a lot of years ago. I have heard that some schools are now using non-master/PhD degreed staff for clinical instructors- that wasn't the case when I went. Is this true? How common is it? Wages aren't that much of an issue- I just need health insurance.

Around here they use BSN qualified nurses as clinical instructors, but not as teachers in the classroom........in accredited schools.. So it's quite possible with your experience that you could get into teaching. I'm not sure about LPN schools.
