Is this OK?

Hello nurses. I am working in an office based surgery center. Is it sufficient staffing to have one OR nurse, scrub tech, and one other nurse for preop and PACU?

I fear that if something happened to a patient that there would not be enough people to run a code?

Advice, please. Thanks

ASPAN standards require two licensed nurses be present in. the PACU while patients are in phase 1 recovery. I would ask your manager for some clarification on your policy in the unfortunate event of a code. I have worked a facilities that required staff to use BLS only and call 911.
