Is the NLN Test Hard?

Published

I am so so so nervous :bluecry1:about taking the NLN test. Can anyone share their experiences. I live in NW Florida..Thanks!

I found it easy, but only if you studied. I'd sugest purchasing the NLN study guide, i think you can find it or a link to it if you just google it. The hardest thing for me was the vocabulary, alot of it I was never exposed to being down south. As long as you review well, you should do great. Good luck!

It really depends on who you ask.

I personally didn't think it was "easy". I thought the Math and Science were not so bad (and studying the NLN Pre-entrance exam book over and over helped me out greatly), but the Vocab section, in my opinion, was a joke! That was the main reason I didn't pass each time. I had to take the test 4 times and just pray that I scored well enough on my vocab section to get a high enough score. Got high 90's in the Science & math, but I think I got in the 70's for vocab the last time and it brought my score to 92%.

So, depending on what you know, it may or may not be hard. Study the book and you should do good...and if you don't succeed the first time, keep trying! I did and I finally got in!

It is not to bad IF test taking is something you do well at naturally...I was not able to get a study guide due ot time restraints so I did NOT study but I still made in the 96th percentile, and it is only because I am a good question reader, I am no genius ...

If youcan study then definitely do and when you take the test try not to think about time limits (except for math, I took every second I had double checking those answers)to much unless you know you read slowly or something, my SIL had a problem with that and she just kept check on the time left and she was OK, cause she kept moving forward , the vocab seemed like a cake walk compared to the Science and Math for me but I did pretty well in all of them...

You'll do fine , I really think you will...
