Iowa Nurses

Published

Specializes in Intensive Care and Cardiology.

Hi, I'm an LPN working in a Nursing Home making $17.89/hour. I graduate with my RN this May (2006) and I was wanting to move up North. I was looking into the Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Davenport areas but I was wandering if anyone was willing to share how much you make as an RN in hospitals in these areas. I've found a few numbers online that are between $17-$20 for RN's. As you can see, I make that much as an LPN so I was wandering if actual nurse's could tell me their starting pay. Thank you for all of your help in advance!

I am from Iowa, but I prefer Phoenix, AZ. Wayyyy better weather. :)

Specializes in Geriatrics, acute hospital care, rehab.

I'm an LPN at a Minneapolis hospital....making >$20/hr. The RN's here must start at least at $25/hr. Plus if you have experience prolly start at more.
