Hi y'All,

For those of you that have been reported to the BON/DOH for violation of Nurse Practice Act, specifically diversion of a controlled substance, what is to be expected when the BON turns over the "investigative file"? My attorney told me it can take a month or 2 to recieve so I am assuming that is the time they are building a case against me. TYIA

Hey @LittleRN,

What state is this happening in? Can you provide a bit more information on the events leading up to this point? I’m sure this is a scary time for you to say the least.

Hi, there is an active investigation of my license for diversion of a fentanyl. Someone at work saw me take it. Hr called me in. Explained what happened, I couldn't get an order for another patient so I made the wrong choice to cut corners. I confessed to this and was reported to the BON for a whole bunch of stuff. I was not terminated but I resigned on the spot. Just wondering what would be included in an investigative report. Any info would be appreciated.
