Hello all,
Nursing student here, and I've been feeling some type of way.
I am very much intimidated by the medical work world, especially once I finish school.
Even if I do study (although I slacked off during the first year, not good because I am paying the price of trying to cram in everything now. Lesson learned. Medical school filed isn't like other colleges ) I feel as if I don't know anything, and when I see nurses or any medical worker I am "fascinated" by how much knowledge they probably have.
Did anyone else feel like this when they were a student? I am so scared about 1.) The NCLEX demon exam. & 2.) That I might forget something while working and it'll cost someone's life.
I've heard that 50% of the things nurses are taught WHILST working, and the other 50% in school.
I don't know..I have so much respect for this field and I will carry my title with honor, but man! I am scared!

Take it one day, one minute at a time. Work toward knowing what you need for that moment but use it to increase your knowledge for future situations. Everyone has to take it slow from the beginning. Work to understand the concepts that you can use in many situations. If you can get a tutor from the university/college that might be of help. All the best.
