Interview tips for Parkland?

Hi y'all! This is my first time on a forum but I am really hoping to get some help. I have an interview this week with Parkland for their upcoming 2014 residency program. I am pretty nervous about the interview. Is their anyone who has been through this process willing to share their experience??

Thanks!!

I had an interview last week at Parkland for their SICU residency that starts in February. You will be interviewing for a different unit but I think they probably all ask the same type of questions which are behavioral questions. Examples are: describe a time you had a difficult patient, what did you do, now what would you have done differently? Why Parkland? Why nursing? Explain a time you had to work with a coworker/classmate you did not get along with, what did you do, what now would you do differently? Those type of questions.

The unit I interviewed for was a panel interview with the unit manager and staff nurses. Not sure if yours will be a panel interview or not.

Good luck!

Wow! Thank you so much! I just needed a little guidance. I don't remember in the other post seeing if you were called back? If so, congrats!

No call back yet, still waiting :)

Also, did the hiring manager contact you to confirm the interview date? I emailed Friday and never revived anything back.

Yes she emailed me back to confirm the interview. The recruiter that I worked with is probably not the recruiter you are working with though. If they don't contact you tomorrow I would call.
