interview question

hi there I am new and I need help for an interview question:

What do you do if different symptoms suggest different diagnosis?

I am not sure what to put can anyone help me .. I feel this question would be for a doctor.. Thank you..

    Are you referring to nursing or medical diagnosis? If it's medical - you're right - the question should be posed to physicians. Nursing diagnoses are derived AFTER you have assessed your patient - and collected data that forms the defining characteristics for each NDx .... you don't assess the patient hoping to validate a pre-determined conclusion (diagnosis).
