So, I have a long way until I have to really worry about internships, but do you guys have any advice on internships? Our university doesn't require them, but they are heavily recommended because the facility you work with is usually the first job you get. I am considering going out of state for an internship over the summer next year, but most of our students are planning on doing internships close by.
Is there a guideline to where you should do your internship?

I think you will be lucky to find one anywhere, as there is a lot of competition. That said, if you land one, and it pays enough for your living expenses, then go for it.

Classicdame hit the nail on the head. If you can score an internship & fully commit to it, then go for it. It is a great learning experience.
