Internship gift?

I'm just finishing up my internship for this semester and the nurse I've been working with has been a fantastic mentor. I'm definitely planning on writing thank you notes to both her and the unit manager who "hired" me but I was wondering if it would be appropriate to give my nurse a little gift along with the thank you card. Nothing extravagant, maybe a $10 Starbucks gift card or a cute coffee mug or something?

Please set me straight if you think I should just stick with a thank you note and call it a day :)
