I am going to pursue a new career as a nurse. I live in the United States but would like to study and get my nursing degree in Portugal, where I plan on moving. I actually have a number of questions as I begin this process, but I was initially wondering if a degree I get from a university in Portugal would be recognized in the US and other countries that I may be interested in living? I understand I would still need to take whatever licensing tests are required for the area. Is there anyone here who studied in Portugal who I may be able to talk to?

Emma do you speak Portuguese? Most likely instruction would be in Portuguese. Whatever country you choose to work in you'd still have to pass their language exams if their main language isn't English. You would have to take with the state boards of the US to see if your degree from Portugual would be accepted and also contact other countries that you wish to work in for the same reason. Boa sorte!
