Hi, and welcome. What do your fellow nurses think and do about this?

All you can really do is let the doc be the doc. If you push too hard, you could lose your job. You'll have to be the judge, though, of your own doctor there. Have you spoken to the doc directly and made him aware that the boys say they do this on purpose?

Are you the only professional who sees this problem? What about the case managers, therapist, etc? Trudy asked a good question as well. Have you spoken to the doctor directly?

If you have brought your concerns to the attention of the MD, and the thought of reporting the MD has crossed your mind, then it sounds as if you must weigh your concerns about what is happening with your need to keep this particular job. You either accept the situation as it is or start upon a path of trying to change things. It sounds as if you are starting to get "wrapped around the axle" over this. It might be time to consider another place to work. You have the right intentions, but no job is worth losing sleep over and it sounds as if you are headed down that road. I doubt that the doctor can be won over. You have to decide how hard you will try and when it is best to back off. Good luck to you.
