With routine maintenence fluids, they are run at ml/hr and no reason to round. With any drips that are being titrated or even if run at a constant, a decimal point can be used and frequently is to a tenth. Pumps are set up to handle this.
However, if in peds or nursery, then decimal points are always used and never rounded when ordered that way.

Hi everyone. I know that for gtt/min the answer should always be rounded off to the whole number. But i got a question about rate (ml/hr) answers. Do you always round off to the whole number for these answers?
