Hello Nurses!
I wanted to see if anyone here has opened a CNA school before. I am very interested in starting one up. I was a CNA student many years ago so I have an idea how it works on courses and having a RN to teach it. I was just wondering more on start-up money (grants/ how much would I need to start it up) and getting approved by the state. Does the state approve you once you complete one run of classes or before the class start? Any information will help!
Thank You

If I were you, I would remove my email address. You are opening yourself up to scammers.
The best place to start with your questions would be the state agency that governs the practice of CNA's in your state. State Board of Health? Every state is different. Some states issue only certification, some issue licensure.

There may be information about starting a cna program under the nurse entrepreneurs forum, it is located under careers (see yellow banner at the top).
