Hi. Thanks for bringing this article to light. Just looking at the article, it seems that nurses could have the best of two or three worlds. Many nurses and the public feel that you're not using your clinical knowledge and skills unless you're doing direct bedside care. It would seem that involvement in informatics means incorporating knowledge and skills into a practical application of indirect clinical practice, information management and technology. In fact, I see where most of the medical, nursing, and allied fields are doing this. I see the future becoming a "Star Trek" reality.
