Hey all
Are both Chickenpox and Shingles on airborne precautions? The study guide floating around here states that Varicella is both airborne and contact?
Contact precautions: must wear gloves and gown and have separate equipment (BP cuff, stethoscope, etc) ?
Airborne: is it just the mask required and standard precautions?
Droplet: Mask when enter room and standard precautions?
I know this is a very basic concept, however, I have not found a clear cut answer to this from any of my study materials.
Thanks in advance

This breaks it down pretty well:
CDC -Transmission-Based Precautions BICPP - HICPAC
Thanks for the reply @equalme. I have been using the CDC website you mentioned above, however, it still isn't clear?
Contact: Gloves, gown, and separate equipment
Droplet: Gloves, gown, surgical mask, and goggles if lots of fluids
Airborne: Gloves, gown, fitted N95 respirator, negative pressure room, and goggles if lots of fluids. When transporting, use a regular surgical mask on patient.
