I'm so tired

My first semester, week #4. It seems like all the lectures, studying, worrying, homework, writing, reading, etc. is catching up with me. I also have children and obligations at home. The last couple of days I have felt so exhausted. I try to go to bed at a reasonable time because I know I need the sleep (9-9:30). Any suggestions on what to do/eat/not do to keep up energy?? I do have great support at home, my children and a great husband. I'm excited about being here, but I'm just so tired !!

You're preaching to the choir! I am in week 4 of 2nd semester and it's not any better! All I can say is to take advantage of any rest you can get. I also drink coffee morning noon and night but I'm sure it's not the best way to stay alert! Good luck to you!

Well what I do is eat breakfast. Then I eat all the time all day long. I graze almost. Always healthy things though. Apples, raisins, grapes, carrots, anything easy to take to class and is good to me. When i get home at night, I cook a fresh dinner, i havent done frozen in forever and I very rarely do dine out. Dont drink caffiene and eliminate soda all together if you can. Drink water and lots of it. Get a Nalgene bottle and fill it up at least once during the day. Thats what I did and wow, I have tons of energy now and I lost lots of weight.

Hi That Guy:

I am often dragging through my day especially now with school. So, I eagerly tried your advice about eating breakfast followed by healthy snacks. And, I can't believe the "immediate" difference it made.

Thanks again!!

Just make sure its healthy stuff you munch on and still get some exercise. I see too many of my girls in class eating pop tarts, donuts all the worst stuff for you to just be sitting in class.

Glad it helped!
