Thanks for the heads up. It seems my new job is unusual in the fact that it is the OHN's job to track and deal with the FMLA as well. There is a consulting company and a risk manager that make decisions but it is the nurse that monitors leave, initiates paperwork and try to get all the information. :uhoh3:

Certainly there is usually some interaction from the OHN in FMLA, and I too have seen where the whole program is handled in the clinic. Just be aware that it, like WC, has a lot of caveats to it which it is best to understand at the beginning. Find yourself an expert that you can call on before voicing a decision, it will save you and the employee grief afterwards.
