I’m a Nurse

I can buy what I want.

I can travel anywhere.

I can own big properties.

I can acquire wealth

And power

And strength

Because I have money

And because I can.

I’m a Nurse

And I have gotten any worth of material possession.

I can move mountains

I can turn red to blue

I’m a Nurse

And people envy me for being one.

And people think I’m rich

Yes I am.

People noticed me because of that.

But a part of me remains unknown.

And I’m what others believe I can be.

I’m strong,

And that I should be.

I’m wealthy

And that’s the price of being one.

I’m a Nurse

And opportunities knock every now and then.

Some I turn down

Some I’d accept

Just let me name my hour’s price.

People think I know how to care

To love

And to hold

Those Sacred lives

That lies in my hands.

I’m a Nurse

Yet I’m unhappy.

I’m a Nurse

Yet I’m not healthy.

My body is so tired

Taking care of every individuals

Who needed my gently touch.

I’m a Nurse

Yet doesn’t have enough time

For myself

For my loved ones

For the One who created me up above.

I’m a Nurse

And I have plenty of employers

Wanted me to sign a contract

Name your price they say

But I’m starting to refuse extra hours.:uhoh21:

Patients would call my name for sometime

And I’d be there beside them

And I’d be there because I have to.

And people say I’m comfortable

In anyway they know how.

Rotating from morning shift

To afternoon

To graveyard.

Meeting different kinds of people.

I’m a Nurse

Having my own expensive cars

With many jewelries

Plus a mansion

But with no one.

I’m a Nurse

And people think I’m enjoying

All the benefits of being one.

I’m a Nurse

Yet unhappy.

I’m a Nurse

Yet uncomplete.

that was a great poem!!!! -great but sad though...

yes you are right that people do think that nurses have anything and everything but the opposite are playing all the way round...

its sad to know bout what you feel bout your poem and i can understand that simply because we are just human and we are prone to experience such things...

but the good thing here is that God is so faithful to hear the very cries of your heart and that He is very much able to reach you and make you happy and allow you to feel the complete joy that you are apprently lookin' for...

keep on seeking Him in your heart and you will experience COMPLETE JOY and HAPPINESS...and that you will feel the contentment that you are actually looking for...because it is only in Him where we will eb satisfied and that if we choose to seek and follow Him,then everything will just follow....yes we may tend not to look for material things because we have that already...be there are still emptiness that we will be felt as we continually live in the earth..that's why its only in HIM we we can find joy,happiness,contentment and LOVE....keep in touch and God Bless!!!!:)
