Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had any trouble with prior arrests and getting a license with Idfpr.
I have a 12 year old felony arrest for mob action, I DID NOT get charged. I was let out a few hours later after after the police realized I did not have any part of it. I never even had to show up for court, so I have no records of this arrest and have no clue how I would even get them. It doesn’t show up on a state background check, but I’ve heard that this probably would for the BON. I also have 2 citations for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
I was already approved through CTS and took my NCLEX June 7th.
Is there anyone who got approved to test and still got denied licensure for something like this? I’m worried sick, all of the girls in my class license are posting and mine still says pending board review.

Following because the same is happening to me. I have priors, just misdemeanors. I took the NCLEX June 21st and still waiting for my license!
Did you call and talk to IDFPR? I’ve called so many times and they haven’t given me any information at all.

You may get more attention if you call your state representative or state senator. Illinois moves slowly on everything - but I have found that seeking out a politician gets things done (When I moved from Wisconsin to Illinois in 1985 just transferring my license was taking forever. I called my local politician to expedite it - it got moved to the top of the pile). Your local state representative has people on staff just to do things for his/her constituency.

Update post: thank you londonflo! (IDK how to reply directly)
I ended up going to the court house and getting certified copies of everything for my illegal consumptions. I also asked them to write a certified and stamped letter stating I had no charges filed against me for mob action.
I took these and my personal statement to IDFPR today in person, she went over everything with me and said this was all that they needed. That she was going to take my paperwork to the person to process and my license should be posted by next week.
Let me know how it goes and if you do get it by next week. I submitted all my stuff through the portal about a 5 weeks ago and a supervisor lady called yesterday and said they had everything and it would be a couple weeks yet ?

Contact your state representative. If you don't know who that is check here:

For any one reading this make sure you register to vote and VOTE. If there is not anyone you want to vote for, still show up and take your ballot. you do not have to fill it in. Your state rep cannot find out who you voted for but.....you always want to show you are an active citizen in our election process. . One of the most important criterion of being a professional is participating in our governmental activities to elect our officials.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that my license posted today. If you’re still having trouble try to get your TCN to look at your own background check. I had a classmate who had gotten arrested when she was 14, and it showed up! You have to get paperwork for everything even if you weren’t charged.
If anything just go up there. The lady I talked to said the people that answer the phones don’t really have access to your stuff. She also told me that sometimes they don’t receive things sent through the portal AND that a lot of times the portal updates things (like payments) and it never even hits their desks to look over.
good luck!
Thank you! Did you go to the Springfield office?
