ICP question

A friend of mine had a spinal tap for head aches and was told the pressure was 28cms...

She is on Diamox for this...what are normal pressures? She was told this was "slightly high" but it seemed more than "slightly" to me.

She is from England.

Anyone have an ideas?

Is your friend hypertensive? Has she had other diagnostic tests, such as a head CT to check for hydrocephalus?

I qwonder if chronic increased ICP are different than ones related to an injury etc. I will ask her what other tests she has had. I am anxious to see how the Diamox has helped. Her next spinal tap is Monday
