I am so upset

I posted this question the graduate nurses forum, I only recieved one response. I am really worried about the nclex test. Has anyone taken the test recently? If so where there a lot of fill in the blanks, more then one answer applies, and point to the correct picture. I really need help. Does anyone know when this test format will come into effect? Thank you in advance

I think you would find alot of informatin there under the general section/students section. Much has been posted about this over time.

Good luck,

i took the boards in nov, 2003. there were only 2 questions for fill in the blank and they where calculations. so dont be alarm, you wont have many. good luck!!

I am also a student and I am scheduled to take the NCLEX this summer. We have been informed that the changes are taking place in April. I believe it is April 1st. I went to convention in New Orleans where they talked about the new question style. I was told it will not be a large percentage of this type of question. Hope this helps.

reply.

I took the NCLEX here in Illinois July 2003 and had a couple of those "new format" questions.

The new format was not a big deal, for me and if you know your stuff you will be fine. The 'point to' questions were like, from what ventricle do you hear the loudest heart sounds? It was something along those lines. There weren't very many of them and some of the multiple answer questions IMO were actually easier than the regular multiple-guess questions.

I took the test last year so this year it may be different, but just remember that you've worked hard and you know much more than you even think you do!
