Hi Robin-

I define health as being that of being healthy not only physically but mentally as well. I promote this in my practice of nursing by trying to eat properly, limit caffeine, drink more water and take my scheduled breaks to remain sound of mind. I also get the proper amount of rest that I know my body requires before and during my rotations. Other things that contribute to my health is taking time for me such as getting a massage or participating in activities with my family. The latter 2 are of the utmost important to me. Nurses give so much of themselves to others that they tend to forget about themselves and their families. Hope this one little perspective helps you some.
