I need a nurse for an interview.

Nursing Students Student Assist

Published

Hello, I'm a longtime lurker but this is my first post. I'm in my first semester of nursing school and we were given an assignment to interview a nurse. Well a "friend" of mine had agreed to answer some questions for me but has backed out literally at the last minute. So if someone has a few extra minutes I would really appreciate you answering a few questions for me. This is my assignment:

The core concept of professional behavior is characterized by a commitment to the profession of nursing. The graduate nurse demonstrates five basic professional characteristics. These are:

1) technical competency,

2) positive role modeling,

3) consistently practicing within legal, ethical and regulatory standards,

4) valuing the profession of nursing, and

5) participating in life-long professional development throughout his or her career.

  • Share the above concept of professional behavior with him or her.
  • Discuss each of the five characteristics of professional behavior: technical competency, positive role modeling, adherence to legal, ethical and regulatory standards valuing the profession and professional development through lifelong learning.
  • Ask the nurse to give you specific examples of how he or she exemplifies each characteristic in his or her daily practice.

I also need a little background info for example how long you have been a nurse, were you went to school, were you practice, etc. I know this is personal info so if you want to pm it to me or I can give you my email address.

Please help me out!

Thanks, Jessica
