I need a help for my learning contract on my practicum

I will start my practicum next week, which is really exciting considering the one-to-one learning experience before graduation! However, my school ask me to finish my learning contract paper before I go to the unit. I searched the location of the unit. It is a neuro ICU floor. Since I have not had an orientation with the unit, I have no idea about it. For example, I do not know what the mainly illnesses patients having there, and what kind of nursing care needs to be delivered either. Now I am stucked with Course Objective #3: Identify a researchable question drawn from clinical observations?

I have not had any observation yet, how can I identify the problem on the unit? But it is mandatory that I have to turn it in before I start the course. So guys, Please help me, and give me some ideas!
