Hi everyone!
This is my first post but I used this site before and found it to be very helpful.
I am currently in my 2nd year at a community college here in WA.
I was planning on getting my AA degree, which I'd receive next March, and I would have then gone on to a 4year university to get my Bachelor of Arts. My plan was to then later get my BSN through an accelerated BSN program - but probably not in WA.
Lately though I'm really torn because I could also very easily just get an Associates in Pre-Nursing next June and could then try to transfer to a 4year BSN program.
I looked into UW's, WSU's, SPU's and SU's BSN program but they all seem to be very competitive.
However, about a week ago I discovered that WSU has two satellite campuses that do offer the BSN program as well (WSU Tri-Cities and Yakima, I believe).
Does anyone has any info on how hard it would be to get in there? Or any info on how many spots they have open for transfers from community colleges?
I'm just really torn right now if I should continue with getting my AA and later try to get an accelerated BSN - or if I should get an Associates in Pre-Nursing and try to transfer to one of WSU's satelitte campuses?
Thank you guys so much!

hello. Yes I believe that an accelerated bsn program is for a person who already has a four year degree. Perhaps you can enroll in wsu and apply to their nursing program. It takes a while to get as I have heard from others. While you are waiting maybe you can take classes towards finishing your associates degree. Also the wsu tricites nursing program is conducted via satilite. Basically you log on and watch the class on a tv screen. I'm very nervous about this kind of program since you never have any real interaction with your teachers. Your clinical instructors however are people in your area.
