I know it's a crazy one!

Hi, I know this is a crazy question, but I have to ask. Is there a need for nursing students at CSM in the bay area? I'm in the Sacramento area and was recently down on the peninsula and some friends of mine are convinced that nursing students are needed there and get right in to CSM. Of course they could not believe that I am not in a program yet after 4 semesters of applying, and said if I was in that area I'd get right in. I'm pretty sure this is a case of some non-nursing students false info. Just thought I better check with people in the area trying to get into RN programs. Thanks!

What school is CSM?

College of San Mateo

Sorry, but your friends are giving you incorrect information. They have waiting lists there as well and get many more applicants than they can accept.

You also need to be a resident of San Mateo to get into their program, at least this was needed in the past. Those that actually lived in San Francisco cannot get into the program there.

Thanks... that's what I thought. I know I've seen threads on here from people all over CA having the same problems getting accepted into programs. I think people everywhere, that are not trying to get into nursing schools, just can't believe how hard it is to really get in.
