should I or shouldn't I

I need some advice here.

I got accepted into the nursing program (yay!)

but the thing is that I will have to take classes throughout the summer.

from may 12th to june 2nd I will have to take microbiology and the lab. then from june 28 to august 19th, I will be taking pathophysiology and pharmocology I, health assessment theory and the lab, and intro to profess. nursing.

then, in the fall semester I start nursing clinicals and such at around august 23rd.

I want to know if you guys think its doable.

another route i can do is to just take the micro. classes and the intro to nursing classes in the summer and take the rest in the spring (2011) semester( they won't have does classes available during the fall 2010).

the problem with that is that I will have to wait until fall of 2011 to offically start the nursing clinicals instead of the fall of 2010.

would financial aid get affected by this (stafford loan, pell grant, bright futures) since I would finish in five years instead of 4 years?

thanks in advance.

i would say do what is best for you, but i did all my pre-reqs before nursing classes and am so glad i did. it's hard to watch some of my other classmates struggle because they are in pre-reqs and nursing classes together.

your school's fin aid office can help you, but i will tell you, i'm in my 8th (!) year of college, on my third degree and took the federal loan my first 5 years of school, and since they increased the amount you can borrow with a federal loan from what it used to be, i am now able to take out federal loans for this year and next.

thank God because i didn't qualify for my signature (private) loan this year like i always have...

good luck! and congrats!!! it's a trip for sure

I would do the first, IF and ONLY IF your SO is so supportive that you can eat, sleep, and breathe school for the summer. AND if you are an excellent student. If you have to work hard for Bs rethink it.
