I got to...

push Adenosine today for the first time! Whee! It was exciting for me.

I'm off orientation in less than a week. I can't believe I've already been working this long, and it's time already. I freak out, but then remember I've had nights where I had to function on my own, and I survived (as did the patients). -Andrea

Congrats!!:p I remember watching adenosine being pushed, and I think my heart stopped just as long as the patients did until the heart rate came back. I hate that long pause

I got to push it my first time last week too! I was pretty excited, it didn't work though. Also the nurse I was with told the patient--this is going to to make your heart stop for a few seconds. Hello! You don't need to tell them that specifically, I would have a panic attack if someone told me that! I think I will use the term "reset" your heart. :wink2:
