I can't get a job

I am currently living in NYC, I graduated last year from An ADN school. I started looking for work as a registered nurse but for some reason nobody wants to hire me, they all claim that i have no experience, any ideas?

Because you don't. None of us do. Apply to HUnDREDS of jobs and start volunteering, do something to set yourself apart from the crowd. Perhaps go back for your BSN? But keep applying!

Chin up, I'm inching close to the two year mark in this saturated market without a job. It's tough, but a job will come eventually.

In the meantime, do what the above poster mentioned.

Good luck!

It's tough everywhere. I feel your pain. I agree with nowornever....go back to get your BSN. I have noticed in PA, they are more willing to give a nurse with no experience who has a BSN a shot, more so than somebody with an ADN...and it makes sense...... The more education the better. I only have an ADN as well, and I just know that there wil be a time when having a BSN is a requirement. That's why I'm going back to school in January. Best of luck to you!
