I just started nursing school. I am making high grades in classes but when it comes to the tests I am not doing well at all. What is it? I study hard and when I am taking the test I feel like I am doing well...then when I hit submit and see my grade I almost have a heart attack. I just cant figure out what I am doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

What topics are you learning? What are your study habits? How do you take notes?

It is Fundamentals. My study habits are I go straight from work to bookstore, put on ear plugs read, do study guides, get with study groups, take notes in class. Any suggestions?

Have you tried outlining your assigned chapters as you read them? I find that hand-writing the high points, as well as rewriting my notes from class, makes a big difference in me actually retaining the material versus just skimming it and not banking it. I save it all as I go, too, and use it as a study guide for my final.

I would request a consult with the Instructor. Perhaps they can guide you. For one thing, the instructor might be able to point out "faulty" thinking in your test answers. That could put you on the right track again.
Thank you all for your advise...much appreciated.
