I failed my final!

I am so disheartened! I am an older student, 50+, and this is my second attempt. I was in an ADN program about 15 years ago for 2 semesters, due to small kids and life choices I had to withdraw. Now with kids all in college I tried again, Lpn due to the shorter program, and the test questions are awful. End of second semester I was barely passing, but got 100%on HESI which pulled me up, then a few days later on the final I made a 56!! I couldn't believe it as I actually felt pretty good walking out of the test. Now I'm out! Has anyone else experienced this? I don't even want to try again right now. How could this happen?

So sorry to hear this. Can you return to this program? If you decide to go back, do everything possible to find out where your study method weaknesses are and to make the necessary changes. Maybe one last meeting with the instructor for some advice would be helpful. Best wishes.

Thank you, I am supposed to get an email and have an exit interview. I am just so shocked. First semester I actually made and 83 in the final with the same amount of review. I do practice questions on evolve and nclex review on topics to be tested, I thought I was doing well. We are never given any sort of study guide or outline, everything is fair game. But that applies to the HESI as well, I thought that was an indicator of knowledge.í ½í¸¥
