Into a FNP in my area. I'm SO excited and elated by this. It wasn't all that hard to get in -- they just required a good gpa and an interview, transcripts, etc. I had to submit one reference. It didn't take long. I'm starting in January.
It means a lot to me, though. I struggled SO much through nursing school and these last two years in nursing. I just feel like I've literally climbed a mountain, only to be setting out to climb another. But I'm just so thrilled.
So much was stacked against me -- SO much. All these many, many years. But with a supportive husband and just putting one foot in front of the other everyday, somehow it all panned out.
I WILL say -- don't burn your bridges. Be nice to people. Someday you need to go back to people to get references, letters, recommendations. You need to protect your reputation always.
Hallelulah -- a new start and I'm going back to school!!! Yay!! (I love being a student:loveya: )

Congrats - I'm glad you are doing this. I know in your other thread you questioned your age - but you are not old - you will do well. Keep us up to date.

Congrats!! Best wishes on your new journey...it's so exciting!! Let us know how it goes. :)
Thanks, all.
And thanks, Trauma. Nah -- I'm over the age thing. At any rate, us older students have a lot out of the way -- kids, husband, etc. I've been there, done ALL that. Now the only thing I have to concentrate on, besides just one last kid still at home, is school.
There has got to be something said for that!
