Hybrid Speech

Has anyone taken a hybrid speech class? Mine starts this Thursday... I'm sort of nervous.

Good day:

What is "hybrid speech?"

The nursing program where I'm going does require an "effective communication" class that deals heavily in public speaking, and the different types of speeches.

Thank you.

Hi,

My hybrid speech class is an "effective communication" course. It's web-based and on campus. We do our coursework online and go to campus for our SEVERAL speeches we must give in front of EVERYONE. I asked if anyone has taken a hybrid speech class...

GOOD DAY

Good day:

Unless the community college I'm attending accepts a transfer of an Oral Communications course I took in early 1980's, I will be taking effective communication either this fall or next spring as part of the prerequisites.

While the community college I'm attending does have a web-based as well as classroom, I'm doing the classroom version as I strongly believe the web-based one defeats part of the point (that's just my opinion).

Thank you.

We have to go to campus to give our speeches in front of several other students and a teacher...

Good, BSNinprogress22:

That's a good thing.

Have you spoken before a group of people before?

How do you feel about it?

Thank you.
