Hurst review

Published

I am going over the dosage calculation part of hurst review and noticed that on some of the questions, the drug concentration were not given.

Is this how is it on nclex. Am i going to have to memorize drug concentration on top of everything else?. Let me show u what i mean.

Example. Calculate the IV infusion rate in ml/hr for a 70kg patient requiring procainamide, maintenance drip at 2mg/min?

The concentration rate for procainamide was not given!

the nclex has no tricks, it will give you the concentrations, took it twice and all the necessary information was always there.

Thank you!!! and CONGRATULATIONS just read your post!

I hope i will be able to create a similar post in 2wks :)

Thanks, and you will, just go in with confidence and pray, and take breaks if you have to.

I plan on it :)

My HURST teacher said to take a break every hour whether you need it or not. I took my first break and after returning passed the NCLEX after 30 more mins. Take your time, use the white board thing to take notes. Like some one else said, they give you all the information you need to answer the question, as long as you have a solid back ground. Using HURST, I contribute my license to; it works. After talking it the week after graduation I studied for three weeks straigh (like 8+ hours a day and every day) I walked out with 75 questions after 1.5 hrs and though "that was not so bad" then of course I started to freak out because I though it should have been harder; but it was the foundation I got with HURST that made it seem so easy. Do EVERYTHING they say (study tips) and you will be fine
