8 hr shifts

Does anyone know of a hospital that has 8 hr shifts in the ft. worth area. 12 hour shifts are too long and conflict with my kids school schedules. I will be moving to Burleson and do not want to travel too far to work.

There's a place called the Trinity Mission of Burleson, and they are always hiring nurses. I think their pay rates for RNs start at about $25 hourly. However, this is not a hospital. It is a rehab facility (SNF) and long-term care.

In the Fort Worth area, RNs who wish to work 8-hour shifts typically work at nursing homes, because none of the major hospitals offer 8-hour shifts. For instance, many RNs are employed at the rehab center where I work. My workplace is located in Southwest Fort Worth, and we have several nurses from Burleson who work here. My workplace offers 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, and 10pm to 6am.

Another option would be working at a small psychiatric hospital such as Millwood Hospital or University Behavioral Health. These places offer 8 hour shifts. I hope this helps. Good luck with your move!
