How is it?

So I'm thinking about applying here to the RN-BSN online Program ....I need Statistics!!! I'm so not a math person  I was wondering did anyone take the Stats online and how did they like it? How was you over-all online experience with UTA ? are you happy there? I live in California so I know the Texas politics class is going to be a doozy for me but I'm still really thinking about this college! Thanks

Hi!

So, I started at the end of March and I really like the program. It's LOTS of time, that's the issue, so you really have to be good at managing your time, etc. I spend my weekends working on school stuff. My advisor has been helpful as well.

As for stats, take it in person at a local community college. I AM a math person and my one attempt at online stats was awful and I dropped it. I had to take it twice in college. I HATE stats. That's just my two cents!

I took Stats in the classroom because I was worried it would be too hard to do online. Thank goodness I did. I took it a few years ago and got "lucky" (I feel really awful saying that) that hurricane Rita hit during the semester and school was cancelled for a week. We missed the hardest chapter and he said there wasn't time to cover it! I do not recommend taking this class online.

As for the program, there are a couple of hard classes. Health assessment is extremely time consuming and I have heard that research is a nightmare. The program is good. I just get annoyed with my current coach who grades APA format on discussion postings like it is actually going to have an impact on my nursing practice.
