What are the best ways to study for the NCLEX?

There are many options for reviews. You can find many posts with personal experiences and reviews in the NCLEX forum here at AN. You can also seek recommendations from your school and/or instructors.

I have the ReMarc, Mark Klimek, and Uworld review on sale for $80. If interested, please email [email protected]

I used uworld and bought a saunders book. Uworld is great because they have an app for your phone and since we're all preoccupied on our phones everyday already might at well do questions whenever we have free time right? The rationales on uworld are amazing. Saunders book was more for a reference in case I really didn't know something. I took my nclex on March 8th, did the PVT at 4 hours and 24 hours and got the good pop up. Found out I passed via 48 hour quick results. I did about 1000 questions plus some questions in the book on my weakest topics. More than anything, it's the mental preparation before taking the test. While this is the most important test of our nursing careers thus far, it is in fact just a test. Good luck and God bless!

Congrats on passing ajl323!

Hi ryhazen!

I solely used UWorld to study for the NCLEX-RN. My exam was on March 11, ended at 75 questions, and today I found out I passed - yippee!

So here's what I did...

1. Completed all UWorld questions (~1800)

2. Retested all the incorrect questions (~600)

3. Reset the QBank and retested another 800 questions

(My average after completing the QBank the first time was 58%, after redoing the incorrect questions it bumped me up to 60%, and then after reseting the QBank and doing the questions again I was at 90%)

I did all the questions in tutor mode, which means the rationals were provided after I answered each question. Understanding the rationals is KEY. I rarely found myself needing to google for any clarification, because what UWorld provided was more than enough information.

Good luck with studying!

P.S. I also did the PVT. I used a gift card with less than a dollar on it and tried the PVT at 7 and 24 hours after my exam, receiving the "good pop-up" both times. Today, my quick results showed I passed!
