How do you study for the nclex? need your advice

Published

I am planning to make a study plan for myself but I dont know if my study plan will work this time as I have already taken the boards 2x and its going to be my 3rd time I want to pass this time so bad :( ... I plan to study using the nclex-rn testplan 2013 guide from ncsbn . I had it printed out, the candidate version.Referring from this, I plan to read the contents using Kaplan rn course book and Saunders 5e. I am not really good at doing exam's category when reviewing I am better when I stick per system like (Resp, cardio, GI, etc.) but when I took the assessment test from nclex 4000 my lowest is management and I am freaking out because Management has a big part on the exam.

Any advice ? How do you do yours? .. I really don't know where to start. :( I am so anxious :(

I rented/checked out a NCLEX review book from library to save money. I went over all the info, took the practice test provided. Looked over my school notes that I had saved. Passed the first time and it took me 5 hrs and I was the last one out of the testing room. I know a few of my classmates who paid money to take a rewview course on campus. They all seemed to pass the first time with only 75 questions. The review was kaplan, and its my understanding that kaplan doesnt really teach you content, but rather how to read/understand teh question to deduce the right answer. maybe the kaplan course is something you might want to look into...

i had read alot of people here that post their nclex experience and passed they seem to have kaplan.. I plan to buy the Qbanks as I already have the book when I first took the nclex . Thank you... this helps me organize my stuffs :)
