Hi everybody,
i just found this Forum today. And i hope i will find some information here.
I am a German Nurse and live in the USA now, with my American Husband.
I would like to work as a RN and trying to understand in the moment what i have to do to get my License.
The GC i got cause we live allready in the states, so i dont need to do the Visa Screen .
I was reading about the NY BON application. I guess that would be good for me.
Like i understand all i got to do is fill out an application and send it to NY BON.
The Special Credentials Verification ,they need,i have to do over CGFNS right?
What about the TOEFL? do i need one for NY BON?
Once I have received documentation from NY that my credentials have been received and approved,I can take the NCLEX .Will they let me know where i can take it?
What happens if i dont pass the NCLEX? How often can i retake the NCLEX?
How long will it take ? If i pass the first time
So many questions , i know .
Thanks for your help :)

Welcome to Allnurses.
There is a sticky that I have posted at the top of this forum that will answer many of your questions. You are not required to complete TOEFL for licensure but many hospitals will require that you have a passing TSE score, or equivalent.
