How to request days

I need some advice. I will be graduating from nursing school June of 2020 and feel very strongly that I do not and can not work night shifts due to autoimmune issues I have and concern for acquiring a new ones. I am uncertain how to approach this while interviewing with prospective employers? Some hospitals in my area will ask you which shift you prefer and others will not. I am also realizing it may be best if I go into public health instead of hospital work. Any thoughts or advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Only apply for day shift positions. You may have a great deal of trouble finding an acute care job with this restriction, you may have none. You are correct that you will want to expand your search into the population health realm. There is nothing wrong with not going into acute care. Good luck!
