I will be starting a surgical tech program this fall. It has a bit to do with how difficult it is to get accepted to the schools around here (last semester the lowest gpa was 3.9), a lot to do with the fact that I am 37 years old and don't want to keep going to school forever before being able to work, and also a lot to do with the fact that I am interested in surgery. I have already been accepted into the program and will continue my education to become a first assistant once I have gotten enough work experience to qualify. I was wondering, however, how many of you also are going through programs other than those for RN. That would include everything else like rad. tech, psych. tech, dental hygenist, or anything else that I can't think of right now that is also a health care field. Thanks in advance for sharing.
