I'm a new grad and have been applying for jobs all over the state. I've got dozens of applications out there, some of them months old, but haven't received any calls back for interviews . Just curious how long on average it takes between the time you submit an app and the time they would call for an interview? I know a lot of the hospitals don't actually send any sort of rejection letter, and I don't want to sit here hoping for a call on a job I clearly didn't get. I know that the hiring process has been slower because of the economy...just not sure at what point I should just write an application off as a no. Just curious what other's experiences have been...

The two interviews that I have had I received call backs pretty quick (within a week) for the interviews. I also received dozens of rejection emails too though. You just have to keep applying and try to follow up with nurse recruiters at the hospitals.
It's funny...I posted this and a few hours later I got a call for an interview. It was one I applied for not too long ago...a week or two. I've also recieved dozens of rejection e-mails (4 today!), so I hear you on just keep plugging away. Hoping this interview Monday goes well!
