I am currently a SAHM, though I have a current LVN license. Every renewal period I keep taking the CEU's and updating my license. Last time in 2007 I truthfully responded "no" to the box that asked if I had used my nursing skills within the last 4 years. It had been since 2002. They still renewed my license. I have recently done a little prn work for my former employer (an MD) though that is about to end because he is retiring.
Does Texas make you go inactive if you are not working?

I would guess that information is available on the TX BON website, which is accessible from allnurses -- click on the grey "Resources" tab in the upper right corner of the screen, then the "Boards of Nursing" button. That will take you to a list of links to all the US BONs. They are the most accurate source of info.
