Hey nurseanesthesia people,
After reading the "full credit load" thread, I had, not one, but two questions and was wondering if anyone could give input.
Q1. I have a job offer lined up in the fall to work at my local pharmacy as a pharm tech full-time in the day. I am also interviewing to work at a hospital pharmacy full-time, a job I really want because it would teach me so many things that working in retail doesn't teach (ie. making iv's, becoming a hospital middleman, sorting drugs for nurses, ect.)
Bottom line is that I'll be working full-time at a job that is strenous and tiring from now on because I need the money. I'm also planning to take Organic Chem 1 with lab, Microbio with lab, and A&P 1 with lab, all on nights and weekends in the upcoming fall semester. This will mean I will be getting up, going straight to work, then straight to classes until late at night.
I'm doing this so that I can be a candidate to start my local community college's night ADN program which only starts in January (and they want all pre-reqs done by the time youre in). My GPA is low: 3.33. Do you think I can pull all A's in my classes to look good for CRNA school int he future while working full-time? And, Is it really all that a big deal to get A's in these classes to pull up my GPA to look good for CRNA school?
Q2: Never mind question 2. This is already a hell of a lot of information for one post. Hope people will read it.
